The Washington Statistical Analysis Center (SAC) recently launched a new Interactive Mapping Tool that allows users to view criminal, poverty, education and health data. Users can turn on and off layers to visualize how characteristics overlap. Transparency and other options are available within each layer's option menu and widgets allow users to enhance geographic data visualization. Data tables are downloadable. More information about the data available can be found here.
This mapping tool is funded in part through a grant from the Bureau of Justice Statistics, Office of Justice Programs, and U.S. Department of Justice.
